Put Yourself in Her Shoes™
Each year, an ever-increasing number of men, women and their families are joining the award-winning Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®: The International Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence. A Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Event is a playful opportunity for men to raise awareness in their community about the serious causes, effects and remediations to sexualized violence.
Gentlemen, here is your chance to walk the walk!
KUMC will be hosting our *very own* Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event on
Monday, September 24th
from
12:00 - 1:30pm
starting at
School of Nursing Atrium
We will have everything you need, shoes included! And men, you don't have to pay to be a part of this. Rather, we'd like to you collect pledges from family and friends! Our goal is $50 per registrant. And all of our proceeds are going to
Rose Brooks Center
a domestic violence shelter right here in Kansas City.
Once you've registered, you can print out a pledge form (watch your email!) or pick on up from the Office of Student Life. Turn the form back at the registration table on the day of the walk!
